Meet the Band

Jim | Drums
Chris DeWitt

Jim is a lifelong Philadelphian and lives in Northeast Philadelphia. His “day job” is President and CEO of the Independence Visitor Center, which welcomed nearly three million visitors to the city in 2009. He taught himself to play the drums as a teenager and has been playing ever since. As a passionate die-hard Beatles fan, Jim’s favorite drummer is, of course, Ringo Starr. He provides the steady, rocking backbone of the Six of One sound.

Bill | Bass
Bill Jobes

Bill Jobes' musical journey was launched with his grandfather's ukulele at age 4. Later, he was a founding member of Lancaster County's popular 60s rock group, The Velaires, for which he played Fender bass. The next few decades were spent earning a living as a radio disc jockey, newspaper reporter, editor and photographer .

In those rare those moments in life when he put down the bass, Bill found time help direct the Watergate coverage for a major newspaper in the nation's capital, serve as News Director at a CBS television affiliate, and run New Jersey's statewide Public Television network news operation and network of Public Radio stations. He has reported on a variety of topics for major newspapers, including the New York Times, the Washington Star, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and U.S.A. Today.

Today, Bill is an independent print and broadcast journalist as well as a gifted nature photographer.
